LONDON WOOL SALES GOOD CLEARANCES MADE (United Press Association —By LlectiUTelegraph—Copyright I (Received 14th May, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, 13th May. At the wool sales 7815 bales were offered, including 947 New Zealand, and 6372 were sold. A fair selection met with active demand, and a good clearance. but slipes and speculators’ lots of greasy merino were frequently withdrawn owing to firm limits. The first week of the wool sales closed on a satisfactory tone, prices ruling unchanged on opening rates with the exception of slipes, which continued irregular.
