AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS I WORCESTER DISMISSED FOR 196 RUNS RAIN INTERRUPTS PLAY J [United Prw Association-By Elactrta Teiegrapn—Copy right 1 (Received 4th May. 10.30 a.m.) . LONDON, 3rd May. The Australian cricketers beat Worcester by an innings and 77 runs. Light rain fell over night and only the ends of the wicket were covered. O’Reilly made the ball pop. White, bowling a good length, soon trapped Cooper leg before. Bull, with his forehead still plastered. punished O’Reilly’s deliveries. Rain stopped play and the luncheon adjournment was taken. The game was resumed at 2.30 p.m. The ball was greasy but Fleet wood - Smith brought Bull’s good innings to a close after 150 minutes’ batting, with 11 boundaries. Play was then again held up for nearly an hour. Upon resumption the Worcester batsmen played stubbornly, but the spin bowling of Fleetwood-Smith and White was too strong for them. McCormick, though raising his total of no balls to 35 for the match, was more like himself in the final spell of the afternoon, when he worked up a good pace. Only a few hundred were present on the final day, which was almost as unpleasant as England can provide. Details:—
