TO-MORROW’S RACING
PROSPECTS FOR EGMONT To-morrow will see the Egmont Racmg Club open its winter meeting at Hawera. This meeting is usually looked upon as the opening of the Winter Racing proper, combining hurdles and steeples in the programme both days. The racing is followed by Wanganui ; and Waikato, and ends up at the three day Auckland fixture on 4th, 6th and . 6th June next. Good acceptances have been received for all events and the programme, with its increased stakes, should draw a fine attendance of the racing fraternity. The following are in form and should race prominently:— 11.45 —Tongahoe Hurdles, 1$ miles — : Iddo, Donegal. Beau Gallante. Telegraph Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs— Hutana, High Test, Amoroso. Hawera Handicap. 7 furlongs-r-Maori Song, Mittie, Majority. Egmont Steeplechase, V t miles —Riol- | ous. Clarion Call. . Hack Scurry Handicap, five furlongs —Huntino, Gay Hunting, Falner.
