DEEDS TO BE HANDED OVER TO CITY COUNCIL FUNCTION AT COUNCIL CHAMBER TO-MORROW AFTERNOON The City Council extneds an invitation to the public to attend a function at the Council Chamber at 4 o’clock tomorrow afternoon when Messrs E. B. Jackson and C. R. Fell, trustees for the estate of the late Mr R. B. Jackson, will hand over to the City the deeds for the childrens’ playgrounds which have recently been constructed in Russell street, Grove street and Waimea street. The will of the late Mr Jackson made provision for the purchase of the grounds and the necessary equipment.
