Broadbent proposes to fly from Darwin to England in an attempt to eclipse Miss Jean Batten’s solo flight record of 5 days 18 hours. Broadbent will leave at the week-end or the island of Flores to recover his plane and will then return to Darwin to prepare for the England flight.
