SHIPMENTS OF MEAT The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia, South America, and South Africa to the United Kingdom during the first half of March, 1938. were as follows: Australia: Carcases mutton, 45,050: carcases lamb, 129.444; quarters beef (frozen) 6214. (chilled) 9146. South America: Carcases mutton, 3307: carcases lamb, 160,908; quarters beef (frozen) 1358, (chilled) 223.347. South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia); Quarters beef (chilled) 1741. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the first half of March were as follows: Carcases mutton. 109,820; carcases lamb,. 482.875: quarters beef (frozen) 3713, (chilled) 18,683.
