Chinese guerilla forces captured Hohsien, in north-west China. General Chanshan’s forces recovered Sarachi City in Inner Mongolia, where 4000 troops of the puppet state surrendered. FURIOUS FIGHTING TIENTSIN-PUKOW RAILWAY FRONT (Received 30th March, 9 0 a.m.) SHANGHAI, 29th March. Reinforced by eight divisions, th« Japanese claim to be fighting back furiously in the north sector of the Tientsin-Pukow railway front. The Chinese claim they are holding all the positions they have won. The fighting raged throughout the night, all villages within 100 square miles being wiped off the map. JAPANESE HEAVILY REINFORCED (Received 30th March. 12.25 p.m.) HANKOW, 29 th March. The Japanese, heavily reinforced on the Hsuchow front, claim they recaptured Lincheng and Tsining, but the Chinese again surrounded Lincheng and are rushing up fresh troops.
