SITE FOR STEEL WORKS

ITo The Editorl Sir, —What about considering Inangahua Junction as the site for the steel works and allied industries, for the following reasons? 1. It would satisfy the ambitions of Westport district. 2. It would be safe from coastal raids in the event of hostilities. 3. It would serve Nelson better than Onekaka as ensuring the completion of the Midland railway and Nelson would be a better port for transhipping the iron ore to than Westport would, and with calm seas to traverse. 4. Inangahua would provide an ideal site for easy communication by rail to all parts of the South Island and right in the centre of the coalfields.—l am, etc., “GOOD PROPOSITION.” Motupiko, 29th March.
