HUGE TIGER SHARK

CAUGHT AT MAYOR ISLAND PROBABLY A RECORD [By Telegraph—Press Association] TAURANGA, This Day. What la probably a record tiger shark, weighing 953 lbs., 13 feet long, and a jaw 18 inches wide, was caught at Mayor Island by R. H. Jones, of Rotorua from the launch Kingfish. The monster fought for an hour and ten minutes. After being brought ashore it disgorged a broadbill swordfish complete with sword, also one kingfish, two sharks, and a number of mutton birds.
