COAST TO WAIKATO ANNUAL MIGRATION 26,283 IN y IVE WEEKS As fast as railway trucks can be supplied sheep from the East Cape and Gisborne districts are being loaded t Taneatua to complete the last stage of the annual migration to the Waikato and King Country, says the "N.Z. Herald.” The migration this year is reaching unprecedented proportions, and from the beginning of the year up to last Saturday, five weeks, a total of 26.283 sheep were railed from Taneatua, compared with 16,707 in the same period last year. The February period is generally the peak, and, although last February's figures reached 46.391. bookings and inquiries for trucks for this February indicate that that huge total will be eclipsed.
