Liberal) 325 The retention of the seat is officially declared to be a vindication of the defence policy, which was attacked by Mr Houde, who alleged the existence of a secret agreement with England to supply five divisions for any war in which the Empire might be involved. Mr Houde insisted on the allegation, despite official denials.
