“K” CUP TRIAL GAME A trial game was played at Maggie Creek, in order to give the selectors an opportunity of seeing what material was available to make a team to play for the "K” Cup. The selectors must have been disappointed, however, as the game revealed no outstanding talent, the highest score being a modest 33 by Jamieson. The bowling figures were better, good averages being secured by Long (six for 17), Allerby (four for 3), and Davies with five for 14. Chief scores were as follows: — “A” team, first innings 73 (Jamieson 33); second innings 52 (Baigent 21, A. Fleming 10).

“B” team, first innings 42 (Davies 22); second innings 67 (Lester 17, O’Connor 17, Thomson 10).
