SCHOOLBOY BURLESQUE
POLITICIANS IMPERSONATED TOPICAL SATIRE IN LATIN IBy Air Mail—From A Special Correspondent] LONDON, 25th December. For the first time since the reign of William IV, English Royalty have.visited the annual Latin play given this week by the boys of Westminster School, London. The King and Queen I were highly amused at the burlesque of modern politicians included in the performance. One boy impersonated the Prime Minister, Mr Neville Chamberlain, dressed as a .fisherman- complete with waders, sporting cap, fishing rod, moustache and all. Sir Stafford Cripps, wearing a red tie, Mr Anthony Eden and Sir Oswald Mosley were amopg the other public figures impersonated. The performance was given in the ancient dormitory designed by Sir Christopher Wren and was preceded by the Latin play proper, the “Adelphi.” The topical epilogue of events of the past year was also in Latin, leavened with Cockney, Hollywood and other modern tags.
