MEETING OI MALTAI LODGE The fortnightly meeting of Mailai Lodge No. 15, U.A.0.D., was held in the lodge loom, Collmgwood street, last evening. There was a good attendance, presided over by the Arch Druid (Bro. F. M. Day I. ?\ letter of thanks and appreciation was received from Bro. J. li. The following payments were made during the six months: Sick pay, £2Ol 9s Id; death and funeral claims (2 1, £240; maternity benefit. £42; National Provident Fund pension, £26 5s 8d; medical, £219 15s; hospital fund, £7 4.s Od; social expenses, £6: benevolent grants, £1 11s 6d. The Superintendent of Pioneer Lodge • Bro. A. Hilt? notified that the next meeting of Hie juvenile branch would be held on 10th January. Bro. Morgan reported that the Combined Friendly Societies’ Committee would not be holding a picnic this year, but arrangements were being made to hold a dance, which would be advertised at a later date. Sick pay and accounts (including Benevolent Fund grants £8 5s 6d, Sick Members’ Contribution Fund, £2 Us 7d? amounting lo £IBB 19s lid were passed for payment. It was resolved that the next meeting be held on 10th January, on account of the New Year holiday. The meeting concluded at 9.35, all the members and officers exchanging season’s greetings.
