M. VAN ZEELAND’S MISSION NEW ORGANISATION TO REPLACE LEAGUE REMARKABLE SECRECY BEING MAINTAINED (United Pres* Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyrightl ROME, 18th December. M. Van Zeeland, former Prime Minister of Belgium, has arrived at Rome. It is understood that he will propose to Signor Mussolini a conference between England, the United Slates. France, Germany, and Italy in order to draft a plan for world economic reconstruction and establish a new economic organisation to replace that of the League of Nations, with which Italy and Germany refuse to co-oper-ate. Remarkable secrecy is being maintained regarding M. Van Zeeland's visit. The Press has been ordered not to public anything.
