AREAS IN THE NORTH MINISTER'S ANNOUNCEMENT [By Telegraph—Press Association! ROTORUA, This Day. In the course of his speech at the opening of the Orakei-Korako thermal valley, the Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Lands, said that several blocks of Crown land, aggregating 12,200 acres, had been selected by the Government for development in the Rotorua, Taupo, and Bay of Plenty Districts. The Minister indicated that the Government proposed vigorously to pursue its policy of land development. The blocks selected included 5000 acres at Tokoroa, j 1200 acres at Ngakuru, 2000 acres at : Tarawcrn. and -1000 acres at Edgej cum bo. The departments under his I control would spend well over £2.000.00D this year in land development, of various types, both native and Euroj peon.
