As the pupils! | sat in a semi-circle on the sloping! j lawn, it was evident that examinations ! j were over for the year, and that an-; ticipalion of the holidays would soon j j become a reality. The cups were j presented by Miss Hunter-Brown, a prominent old girl. Mrs K M. Childs land Mrs C. Milner were also present. I In a few humorous remarks Miss Hunter-Brown compared the present I position of sports in a girls’ school j with what it had been in her day. A harmless game of twos-and-lhrecs. or an occasional game of tennis, or in; winter hockey on a ground wherej trees and ditches had to be avoided— j these were all the school then had to ! offer. She told the girls how fortun- J ate they were in having so many out-1 lets for their energy and complimented | the cup-winners. The following were the sports rc- j suits:
