COURT BALL

KINGS DANCE TO JAZZ BAND

[United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright]

LONDON, 17th November.

Three kings danced to a jazz band at Buckingham Palace when Their Majesties honoured King Leopold of Belgium at a Court ball. King George of Greece was among the thousand guests.

For the first time in the history of Court ceremonial a jazz band was used instead of a military band. The King for the first time allowed men to wear evening dress instead of uniforms, and the drab black offset the more strongly the brilliant jewels and dresses worn iy many of the noble ladies present. Numerous old waltzes were included. Their Majesties danced the fox-trots.
