ELECTRIFICATION SCHEMES i i ORDER FOR EQUIPMENT PLACED I British OMiciai Wirelessl (Received 20th November, 10.17 a.m.) RUGBY, 19th November. | An order for equipment for the overhead line for two electrification schemes totalling' about 400 miles of track which the London North-Eastern Railway has in hand, has gone to British Insulated 1 Cables Ltd., a firm in Lancashire, which 1 specialises in overhead line equipment, and which has carried out work of this kind in Australia, India, South Africa. Poland and Brazil. About 8500 tons of steel and 3000 tons of copper will be required for the present order.
