The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin correspondent reports that men born between 1893 and 1900 are being called up for military service. Middle-aged men as far back as the 1883 class arc being called up in East Prussia. Though deep secrecy surrounds her intentions, it is believed Germany is rapidly building up a formidable reserve, providing two reserve divisions to each of the present 39 active divisions. This would enable the immediate mobilisation of 2,400,000, excluding armoured divisions.
