Trapping seasons have been closed for some time now, and this sale represents only tlie tail-end of the season’s catch, consequently the, general quality was poorer than at the previous sale. With overseas conditions in the fur trade in an even worse state than a month ago, competition was very restricted, being confined to best quality skins. All other giades were neglected. We quote best Blues and Greys 3d to Is lower, and other grades of these colours proportionately easier. Main grades of dark colours, also red necks, wore par to 6d lower. The greatest drop was on low grades, the bulk of which wo passed in at prices 30 per cent, to 50 per tent, below last sale’s levels. Top prices in our catalogue were 11s Id for blues, 10s 7t for greys, and 6s lid for blacks.
