New Zealand butter is still selling retail at Is 4d a lb, with Danish Is sd. Wholesale quotations arc:—New Zealand, salted, 135 s a owl, compared with 130 s last week and 95s to 96s a year ago; unsalted, 135 sto 1365. Australian, salted and unsalted, 134 sao 1355. Danish, spot, 1455. Dutch, unsalted, 133 sto 1345. Estonian and Siberian, salted, 132 s to 1335. The Imperial Economic Committee’s estimated stocks of all butters in store amount to 478,204 boxes, compared with 986,802 boxes at the corresponding period last year. New Zealand butter in store is 4821 tons, compared with 4725 tons a year ago. There are 814 tons of Australian butter in store. The cheese market is steady, with the retail price for New Zealand still 9d a lb. Wholesale quotations are:—New Zealand, white, 70s 6d a cwt, compared with 70s 6cl to 71s last week, and 68s to 68s 6d a year ago; coloured, 69s 6d (70s last week). Canadian .white, 70s to 71s; coloured, 71s to 725. Finest English farmers’, 90s to 925.

Hemp—Manila: Market very quiet, and tone easier; closing sellers for Oc-tober-December shipments £26 ss. Sisal: Market quiet and irregular. Oc-tober-December shipments sold down to £25 7s 6d. New Zealand: Market very quiet and no first-hand sales reported. Values nominal on the basis of high points £27 10s. Eggs: Market slow. English, national pack, 15s 6d to 225; English, ordinary pack, 18s'6d to 19s Gd; Danish, 13s 9d to 15s 3d; Australian, 12s 6d to 14s. RESULT OF NEW ZEALAND SKI TEAM’S AUSTRALIAN VISIT Whilst competing at Kosciusko, a number of the New Zealand Shiers were troubled with severe colds and had not shaken them oil properly when returning to New Zealand on the Wanganella.
