For the third time in his criminal career, which dates jack to 1904, Frederick Lane, aged 49 years, a traveller, was declared by Mr Justice White in the quarter sessions to be an habitual criminal. In ]!)i0 at Wellington, New Zealand, Lane was declared an habitual criminal and in 1933. at. the same place, lie was again declared. The following year he escaped from gaoi.
