In the Wightman Cup lawn tennis contest at Forest Hills America beat Great Britain by six matches to one. Further results were:— Miss A. Marble (U.S.A.) beat Miss R. M. Hardwick (Britain), 4-6, 6-2, 6-4; Miss H. Jacobs (U.S.A,) beat Miss K. E. Stammers (Britain), 6-1, 4-6, 6-4; Mrs Fabyan and Miss Marble (U.S A ) beat Misses Ingram and Dearman (Britain), 6-3, 6-2.
