DEGREE CERTIFICATE
ALLEGED TO BE A FORGERY [By Telegraph—Press Association] Wellington, 24th June. Before Mr Mosley, S.M, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Albert Fergus Stanley Hickey, aged 38 years, company manager, was charged that on or about 25th March, Knowing a certificate dated 29th May, 1928, to be forged, purporting to be under the hand of the Melbourne University Registrar certifying that Albert Fergus Stanley Patten, who has <=ince reverted to his paternal name of Hickejf, had complied with the regulations of the Degree of Bachelor of Science ana qualified for admission to the degrees ,of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, he attempted to cause Charles John Drake to act on it as genuine. There yvas also a charge of attempted suicide. T'-'e police '■aid that accused was arrested this morning, and the remand which they sought was granted.
