SUPERINTENDENT BROPHY TO REST [United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph— Copyright] (Received 3rd May, 9.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, 2nd May. Superintendent Brophy, chief of the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Police Force, after examination by the Government Medical Board, has been declared medically unfit to return to duty. Superintendent Brophy has been ill for many months, and the medical advice was that he would be unlikely to recover unless he could rest.
