£IOOO GOLF TOURNAMENT COTTON’S RECORD AGGREGATE [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] 'LONDON, 23rd April. On of the most exciting finishes in British golf was witnessed in the final round of the “Silver King” £IOOO tournament at Moor Park and Henry Cotton with 73, 68, 70, A. Perry with 73, 67, 71, A. Lacey with 71, 68, 72, and YV. J. Cox with 71, 71, 69, all started equal. Cotton won with a final round of 68 and an aggregate of 279 which is a record for any major British tournament on a course of championship length. P. Mahon (Dublin), whose previous rounds were 72, 67, and 73, gave Cotton a fright in the final round, scoring 68, with an aggregate of 280, finishing second. Cox’s score was 283, and Perry, Lacey, and Padgham finished with 284.
