“A DANGEROUS PRACTICE”
OVERTAKING VEHICLE ON AN INTERSECTION
FINES IMPOSED IN MAGISTRATE’S COURT
The dangerous practice of one vehicle overtaking another on an intersection was brought to the notice of the Magistrate, Mr T. E. Maunsell, to-day when he imposed fines in two cases. The second case was that in which James Douglas Gyte was charged with overtaking another vehicle on the Trafalgar-Hardy street intersection. Traffic Inspector C. E. Melville Pahl, who drove a motor cycle in Waimea road, he not being the holder of a license, was fined 10s, costs 10s.
R. Benjamin, for driving a motor vehicle in Wakefield Quay, he not being the holder of a driver’s license, was ordered to pay 10s costs.
