FILM OF NELSON DISTRICT

MOTUEKA HARBOUR BOARD SUGGESTION (From Our Own Correspondent) At the last meeting of , the Motueka Harbour Board, Mr Haining expressed the opinion that a moving picture of the industries of the district would be very desirable. Mr Drummond remarked that as hops, tobacco and fruit were all harvested at the same time, he considered that the months of February and M'arch were the most suitable for the filming of the picture. Mr Everett suggested that a photograph be taken from the top of the Brooklyn Domain—this would give a splendid conception of both industriesand scenery. Mr Drummond also thought that Motueka wharf should be in the picture, during the export season, to give an idea of the quantities of fruit which were forwarded from the district. On the motion of Messrs Haining and Drummond it was decided that these suggestions be submitted to the Nelson Progress League for its consideration.
