ADDITIONAL 12,000 CASES WHOLESALE AND RETAIL PRICES FIXED (By Telograph—Press Association) WELLINGTON. This Day. More oranges are coining from Australia to meet the New Zealand’s summer needs. The Minister of Industries and C'ommero', the Hon. D. Sullivan, announce 1 that following the Government’s decision to ensure an ample supply of oranges for the people of the Dominion at reasonable prices. arrange? merits had been made for the importation of an additional 12,000 cases from areas in Australia free of fruit fly. “To implement ilie further scheme of' importation the Government has taken action to fix. the wholesale ahd retail prices of oranges along lines similar to those followed in connection with the recent, shipments from Jamaica,” said Mr Sullivan. “These prices are sot out in reL'ldatioiifl published today and are - Wholesale 22s 6d per export case of approximately a tushcl and a-half. and 16s per bushel case. Retail prices fixed range from four for Is to nine for Is. according to court.
