THE CORONATION
CRUISE SHIPS MAY ANCHOR IN THAMES (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 23rd November. About 20 shipping companies have applied for permission to anchor vessels in the Thames to act as floating hotels during the coronation celebrations. The ships will be cruising vessels bringing visitors from various parts of the world to attend the festivities, and should the Port of London Authority grant requests for mooring facilities they will be at various stages between Gravesend and London Bridge. TELEVISING CEREMONY RUGBY, 23rd November. Mr Ramsay MacDonald, Lord President of the Council, replying to a House of Commons question, said the question of making a record of the coronation and televising the ceremony was under consideration.
