REQUESTS BY COMMERCE CONGRESS “KNOCKING AT OPEN DOOR” (United Preen Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 7th October. The “Daily Telegraph,” commenting on the discussion by the Empire Chambers of Commerce at Wellington in regard to air services, states that the British Government might reply that the Congress was knocking at an open door. A good deal of what was asked was already in a fair way towards completion. The ground organisation for swifter and more frequent services to the Cape, India, and Australia would be ready before long, and the aerodromes would be lit at night. The Congress naturally for a service more than twice weekly, but a daily service would be an unpracticable proposition at present. When the planned services were running the Empire milage would surpass even the American.
