The “Daily Mail’s” political correspondent says it is understood that the King’s first Speech from the Throne at the State opening' of Parliament on 3rd November will announce the Government’s plan for a nation-wide drive to make Britons lit and health conscious, in which the King is taking a personal interest. Schemes already being considered include gymnasiums in every town in the country and additional swimming pools. More open spaces and sports fields, also an intensive propaganda campaign to educate the nation to the necessity of a higher standard of physical fitness. One of the first measures will be designed for the welfare and physical care of children after leaving school.
