MINERS RESUME WORK ■ ~ .ursez (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 7th October. - The strike at the Broken Hill mines has been settled. All miners have resumed work. A cable dated 30th September reported that all the principal mines at Broken Hill were idle and that 4000 men were on strike owing to the dismissal of a man employed at the South Broken Hill mine who refused to work single-handed a new type of machine upon which, according to the rules of his union, two men should have been employed.
