COMMON GAMING HOUSE
FINES AT BLENHEIM (By Telegraph—Press Association) BLENHEIM. This Day. Fines of £25 and £ls respectively were imposed by the Court this morning on Robert Ferris, hairdresser, and Ernest Francis Rudd, confectioner, both of Blenheim, on charges of using their premises as common gaming houses. The prosecutions were the result of a police raid on Saturday, when betting material was discovered. Both defendants admitted carrying on business as bookmakers.
