MARKET STILL VERY FIRM (United Press Association—B.v Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 6th October. At the wool sales 11,933 bales were offered, 10,461 being sold at auction and 1227 privately. It was a very firm market with all the best features of last week’s auction again in evidence. There was strong support from Yorkshire and increased Continental competition. Greasy merino made to 213 d. The average price for wool last week at Sydney was £l7 4s lid a bale and 13.1 d a pound.
