MARCH ON LONDON
UNEMPLOYED IN JARROW PETITION TO PARLIAMENT (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received Gth October, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, sth October. Carrying an oak casket containing a petition with 11,572 signatures pleading for work in the Jarrow shipyards, which is being presented to Parliament, 200 unemployed started to march to London. The Bishop of Jarrow blessed the marchers who are accompanied by medical students, a cook and a barber.
