£l6O AWARDED AGAINST HOSPITAL BOARD (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Damages amounting to £l6O were awarded by Mr Reid, S.M., to Mrs Caroline Thomas, who claimed £3OO from the North Canterbury Hospital Board. Mr S. Thomas claimed that when a patient in Christchurch Hospital, she was badly burned through a hot water bottle being placed on her thigh while she was unconscious. The Board had paid £IOO into Court.
