Mr T. F. Richards, who for the last five years has held the position of house steward, Dunedin Hospital, has been appointed to a position in the Health Department as house manager, Queen Mary Hospital, Hamner Springs, and will leave to take up his new appointment at an early date.
Mr T. A. Duncan, chairman of the Meat Producers’ . Board, planned to ieave for Australia shortly to see his filly Oratory racing at Caulfield, but a few days ago he was requested by the Minister for Marketing, the Hon. V/. Nash, to leave for England with the Minister, as his services as chairman of the Meat Board would be required ir. Britain. Mr W. J. Moffatt, a former Mayor of Nelson, celebrated his 70th birthday to-day, and received many congratulations.
