ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

A very successful concert and social in honour of the anniversary of the Stoke Methodist Church took place last week. After a varied programme of musical and elocutionary numbers including some dramatic performances by talented young people, a social hour was enjoyed, under the guidance of Mr J. W. Longwortb. The chairman (the Rev. B. Dudley) gave some account of the many church activities and a. balance-sheet supplied by the new secretary, Mr W. Ferguson, and thanked the numerous workers for their loyal service on behalf of a live . and improving church.
