ANOTHER AIR RACE?
SYDNEY TO NAPIER PROPOSED BY THIRTY THOUSAND CLUB IBy Telegraph—Press Association) .NAPIER, This Day. A proposal to organise an air race from Sydney to Napier in January has been placed before the Napier Thirty Thousand Club. The prize money will amount to £SOOO. An anonymous Napier donor has already offered £SOO, with the stipulation that the finishing point for the race must be in Napier.' Although Napier Aerodrome at present is in course of reformation, an emergency aerodrome at Westshore is stated to provide ample landing space for the largest air liners likely to participate in the race.
There would be no restrictions regarding type of machines to be entered in the race.
