TELEPHONES IN BRITAIN 'British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 30th-September. The reductions in charges for telephone services, including concessions to residential subscribers of . 200 local calls yearly free of charge, announced by the Postmaster-General, Major Tryon, in July, have evoked a record number of applications for the telephone service of 10,000 in less than three months.
