IMPROVEMENTS TO WELLINGTON SANCTION TO BE SOUGHT (Bv Telegraph— Press Association) ■ WELLINGTON, 25th : September. A decision to seek authority' from the Local Government Loans Board to ' put to the vote of ratepayers proposals to borrow £349,5u0 for City works was made at a special meeting of the City Council. /•’ The suggested works, each of which will be the subject of a separate vote, are as follows: Rongotai aerodrome improvements, £70,000; road, footpath and reservoir improvements £30,000; bathing sheds £26,500; branch libraries in the £ 15,000; cemetery improvements, £8000: sewerage system improvements £200,000.
