VERY FEW ACCIDENTS COMMENT BY MR C. J. B. NORWOOD (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The fewness of railway accidents in New Zealand was commented on by Mr C. J. B. .Norwood, president of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, during discussion on a reply by Mr G. H. Mackley, General Manager of Railways to the Chambers’ statements on steel carriages. Mr Norwood said that notwithstanding the mountainous state of New Zealand and the narrow gauge, accidents were relatively low, showing that the engineering guidance had been of a pretty high qualify- / ~
