ADDITIONAL MEMBER APPOINTED FINANCIAL AND STATISTICAL DATA (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The appointment of Mr H. B. Smith chief dark of the Transport Department, as a member of the Taxi Inquiry Committee, was announced by the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple. The Minister said: “The importance of financial and statistical data in connection with the inquiry cannot be stressed too much, and as these matters are becoming more prominent as the inquiry progresses I decided to make this additional appointment.”
