FAREWELL SOCIAL EVENING

A very pleasant evening was spent on Tuesday at the home of Mrs E. Adams, Seymour Avenue, by a large gathering of friends to farewell her sister, Miss Nellie Wells, who is shortly to be married and who will be residing in the North Island. The opportunity was also taken to welcome home another sister, Mrs Johnson, who with her husband arrived back in Nelson on Tuesday night. The guests were entertained with games and dancipg which were much enjoyed. Miss N. Wells was the recipient of many useful gifts. A very dainty supper was served. Miss M. Wood supplied the music for the dancing. The evening came to a close with the singing of “She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
