INTOXICATED AT THE WHEEL

WELLINGTON, This Day.
Pleading guilty to being intoxicated in charge of a car at Petone, a young married man, Douglas James Leggat, was fined £lO to-day by Justices of the Peace.
The police stated that defendant, who was the driver of an ice cream van during the season, had not attempted to drive the car, but was sitting at the wheel when found by a constable.
