THE BISHOP’S VOYAGE

A VISIT TO CANADA (.By Air Mail—Prom Our Own Correspondent) .LONDON, 6th August. At the age of seventy-eight, Dr. Ingram, the Bishop of London, has decided thats it is time he visited his numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand-nephews, and other young relatives in Canada, and he is sailing for New York on the Queen Mary this week. He will go*straight on to Canada, and will spend about five weeks in the Dominion. Dr. Ingram likes sea voyages, and is looking forward to this trip on Britain’s largest and fastest luxury liner. He hopes to come back refreshed and rainvigorated for another winter of hard work. To bd Bishop of London, and to carry out the duties properly, involves a great tax on the strength of anyone, but Dr. Ingram has enjoyed a healthy and energetic disposition all his life, and in his later years has shown no signs of wanting to “take things easy.” He still puts in at his desk or at meetings a working day which, in its length and multitude of varied tasks, would shock the average Trade Unionist. The Bishop has seldom much spare time for recreation, but he is a keen golfer when he gets the chance to play, and is still a good performer on the links on a medium handicap.
