MAYOR OF HOKITIKA
PUBLIC PRESENTATION MADE TWENTY-FIVE YEARS’ CONTINUOUS SERVICE (By Telegraph—Press Association) HOKITIKA, This Day. A public gathering in the Citizens’ Town Hall last evening, the DeputyMayor (Mr Leslie Michel) presiding, presented the Mayor of Hokitika, Mr George Albert Perry, 0.8. E., with a handsome illuminated address and a substantial piece of silver plate in recognition of his twenty-five year’s continuous service as Mayor of the town. Very complimentary references were made to his valued services to the town and district over a period of years. He was the first Hokitikaborn Mayor of the town.
