The wicket was lifeless for the continuation of the Gentlemen v. Players cricket match at Lords, but the amateurs were unable to get on top of the bowlers. Pearce, however, batted with fine discrimination. Fames bowled splendidly in Players’ second innings. The match ended in a draw.
